WELCOME!
I want to welcome you to the images and galleries of art by Helena Tiainen. As you will be able to tell from my galleries, I paint and draw and work with computer graphics to further expand and multiply the potential in my art. I create with acrylics, mixed media, ink and pencil and at times watercolor/gouache. My art has strong emphasis on color in form, pattern and rhythm/flow. I work in 2-D and sometimes in 3-D. My current focus is on exploring the concepts of oneness and allness and interconnectedness. In my works I often combine everyday objects and forms with what I consider to be the more mysterious, abstract and ethereal aspects of nature. My work is abstract, but also figurative, organic, geometric and surreal.

I have a BFA in painting/drawing with minor in printmaking from the San Francisco Art Institute and I live in Berkeley, California, USA. You can obtain my art resume by request.
