This painting is inspired by nature and reflects my healing and recovery process. It is my sincere wish that people who need support will find it comforting. I have donated this painting to Coalition on Homelessness in San Francisco. There will be a silent auction on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the SOMArts Gallery located at 934 Brannan Street in San Francisco, CA. More information is available at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/714005. This event starts at 5:30 PM and although ticket sales are encouraged, nobody will be turned away for inability to pay. This painting was sold in the auction.

In April 2010 I had a trip and fall accident and my right knee patella and the olecranon in my left elbow were severely broken. To fix these, I had to undergo surgery and was in casts for six weeks. This was followed by a rigorous rehabilitation process that took months. To this date, my left arm is a bit shorter and permanently slightly bent and I have had to learn to compensate for this. This painting, LOVE AND PATIENCE, was the first painting I painted when I was finally alowed to lift items heavier than a pen with my left arm.
