The Joy of Design 42 Arrangement 2 by Helena Tiainen is created with The Joy of Design 42 Arrangement 1 multiplied four times. The Joy of Design series of works all start their lives as small square handmade acrylic paintings that are intended to hang in any direction alone or in combination with other works in the series. When images are combined and/or printed, the potential of creating arrangements increases exponentially. By now there are 42 original acrylic paintings in The Joy of Design Series and hundreds of arrangements created with these paintings by using one or more original images to create arrangements. There are also works that have been digitally enhanced or altered in color and form that are derived from the works in this series.
