Drawing - Mixed Media Ink And Pencil Drawing On Acid Free Paper
Description
When Anything Is Possible aka Imagine 2 by Helena Tiainen is a mixed media drawing on acid free paper. This drawing is created with archival inks and pencil and the original is for sale. There is a cornucopia of forms in this drawing that explores potentiality and overwhelm, both of which are so very relevant in modern life. To see this drawing in an alternative position, take a look at When Anything Is Possible aka Imagine 1, where this drawing is literally turned upside down. There are two drawings in this drawing, since it works equally well displayed upside down. It likely would also work in both vertical positions...creating a different impression every time.

LEANNE SEYMOUR
Fascinating artwork Helena.....and yes it look upside down but read your description and understand! f/l
Helena Tiainen replied:
Thank you, Leanne. I am creating drawings that can be displayed in alternative orientations. What presents a certain form and association when viewed one way can be seen differently when the perspective changes. I am on some kind of a quest for seeing differently, without our usual way of looking at the world around us when we automatically fit things in a previously perceived context. I hope people will look at my creations and the world with fresh eyes and discover something new and unexpected.
