Description
Ceilings and Floors 2 by Helena Tiainen is Ceilings and Floors 1 turned upside down. I do this with some of my art to explore potential and expand. This drawing works in both directions and reveals different perspectives when turned around. You get two works in one in this drawing. I invite you to explore what you can find in this work through free association. I originally created this work as social commentary on the challenging times we live in. So much of what we hold as truth may end up being just manufactured illusions. It takes courage to acknowledge how little we might know and how small we are in the enormous universe. But nevertheless, we are an inseparable part of the bigger picture, so, let us make the most out of it and make our choices with wisdom taking the good of the all into consideration. After all, the golden rule is still some of the best guidance in existence. What we do onto others, we also do onto ourselves. In its core all manifestation truly must be one. Remember, that all lines are created with dots..

I love this type of black and white abstract work Helena. The viewer can stare for a long time picking out many different images.
Helena Tiainen replied:
Thank you Neal! My multidimensional works are very intentional and I like to have them mirror the mind of the viewer. We all can benefit from looking again instead of sticking to our first impressions. Yes, these works are intended to be explored. So are many of my paintings also. There is more to these pictures than might initially meet the eye and I thank you for taking the time to look! Cheers!!!
