Looking for Hope by Helena Tiainen is a black and white surreal fantasy micron ink drawing on acid free paper. These drawings are stream of consciousness and are built one dot and one line at a time. The outcome is always unknown at the beginning of the process but becomes more clear as the drawing progresses. This is the way I approach making art, by allowing the expressions to form through me. This particular visually abstract drawing with strong figurative and organic pattern components is about seeking light and focusing on hope for better times.
